Patrick, Dan and Melissa getting their lantern lit. The lanterns are 100% biodegradable, you light the little patch and the lantern fills with the hot air and is ready to launch.Melissa with her lantern before the launch.
Emily is getting ready to launch her lantern, mine is gone already and I am getting my camera ready to take some pics. Do you like that shiny reflective tape on my rain jacket. This is my waterproof motorcycling jacket and it is quite reflective.
Patrick and Jessica bid good bye to their lanterns as the snow lightly falls.

Happy New Year!! The Celebration
We had a great crowd of friends and family for New Year's Eve. We started off inside playing games and of course eating and drinking...but then the power went out...this picture was taken on one of the times that the power was on...notice the headlamps, flashlights and candles. It was snowing like crazy. We got about 6" from noon until about midnight. This hampered many from making it to the celebration and it made for a last night plowing of the driveway etc. Pictured are Melissa, Patrick, Jessica, Jim, Mom, Diane, Kathy, Bob, Emily, Terry, Me, Jeanne, Rush and Dan is taking the picture.
